We work along the Wasatch Front, which for us means Salt Lake County from Millcreek and Holladay out through Sandy, Draper, South Jordan, and Herriman, Utah County from Lehi and American Fork down through Orem and Provo, Davis County through Bountiful, Farmington, Kaysville, and Layton, and Weber County around Ogden, Roy, and Clearfield. If your house is somewhere in that stretch between the mountains and the lake, we can point you toward someone who builds decks there regularly.
That local part matters more on decks than people expect. Adopted codes and amendments vary from city to city, frost depth requirements and inspection practices are set locally, and a bench lot in the foothills digs differently than a valley floor lot a few miles west. Exposure changes too, since a deck facing the afternoon sun at elevation weathers on a different schedule than a shaded one. A contractor who works in your city already knows those things.
Deck work varies with terrain more than most trades. Bench lots in Bountiful mean tall posts, deep footings, and access problems for equipment. Flat subdivision yards in South Jordan mean simple framing and HOA review. Exposed west-facing lots in Herriman mean sun and wind are design inputs rather than afterthoughts.
That is a large part of what we are sorting out when you call. A builder who works hillside lots regularly brings a different skill set than one who builds flat backyard decks, and both are the right answer for somebody.
New build, repair, cover, railings, or resurfacing, tell us which and we will take it from there.
